these two pages contain photos from the Standing Stones of Stenness. It was an amazing place. This henge is even older than the Stonehenge. There are several areas on the Mainland that are Neolithic monuments. One of the stones was split by a lightning strike - for those that know the Outlander series either books or TV - I did not hear any buzzing nor did I pass through the stones.

I'd love to see it. Can't imagine what it was like for those neolithic peoples. Love the little touches you added to the background while keeping the focus on the stones.

ah as soon as I saw this I thought "Outlander"! what an amazing place to see! love the map in the stamp frame!

Just fabulous photos. I can feel the magic of Outlander there. What a special, sacred place. Again I love the addition of the map and all your delicate touches on the page. Really, really beautiful photos.
