Weve had so much going on this year, that when Alyx and I were in Hobby Lobby getting art supplies for a school project and saw this skinny little retro tree, when he asked if we could get it I jumped on the idea! I thought, phew, this thing is pretty small - our normal tree is over 9 feet tall - that I totally didnt feel overwhelmed at the thought of decorating it. Alas, even this proved to be too much this year. We almost got it decorated. Here are some of my favorite childhood ornaments including the cat with no ears, the one winged bird, the little drummer boy, circus elephant... they all remind me of my personal wonder years of my childhood Christmases.
