these are photos of the wildlife we saw. The javelina were amazing and intimidating. It was a mom with juveniles so we waited in the car for them to go the other direction before we enter the trail. I had never seen them in real life before.

The heron makes a nice contrast with the javelina. I wouldn't have thought of them living close together, but I know very little about javelina.

Oh my goodness, you got so close! There is a kids book about three little javelinas, yes much like the three pigs but with a western flavor!

I think if I ran into these I would turn tail and run LOL! Love your pages about the wildlife though!!

I have yet to come across any of these in the wild, although I have been told there are an over abundance of them in the east county of San Diego. Love the layout.
