My father served in WWII though was not apart of D-Day. It was a high light of the trip to be able to see Normandy. These photos are taken at Arromaches on the Normandy coast of France - this was designated Gold Beach on D-Day. A manmade harbor - Mulberry Harbor was created here to allow supplies to insure the invasion was a success as the troops moved inland.
