One of my joys as a retiree is watching the birds come to my back yard bird feeders. But the feeders bring pigeons which annoys me but then yesterday a sharp-shinned hawk took a pigeon for breakfast and stayed for an hour to let me have my photo shoot. These are just two of the photos.

wow! exciting photos and page! i love hawks. i adore it when "my" hawk is in the back yard. it keeps away some of the annoying birds!

Fabulous photos and layout. I bet you know what I think all the red looks like though. ;) I'm used to Cooper's Hawks taking pigeons, but this sharpie looks about the same size as the pigeon. Wow!

a bird lover! I know nothing about a sharp shinned hawk but one day coming home from my son's out in the country, there was a more than normal amount of road kill and there was some kind of hawk trying to carry off a small cat..grossed me out! Fabulous page!
