I didnt get enough coffee. Im not talking about the drink, Im talking the social event. There wasnt enough coffee in 2008.

There was so much to tell. It wasnt a good year for much of it. As the new year begins, Im still struggling in this awful job market I get a feel for what it was like for Mums in the Great Depression. She and Dad-dad were
raising Grandma. They did okay. It was hard. But, they had each other, the strength of their family and the tenacity to forge ahead with the hope that it will get better. Ive got that too. I have David and my family and my optimism. Ill survive.

In 2008, we saw gas prices soar to over $4 a gallon! The 70 miles between me and my Michigan family came to seem like 700. No job meant no gas and a LOT of gas was necessary to visit home. It was June and I finally got a tank of gas and an opportunity for some much needed coffee. On the way to Dad's for Fathers Day, I had a long lunch and good coffee with Liz who I hadn't seen in over a year. Another stop on the way was for coffee with my big brothers, and some more coffee. There would be more stops on the way home for coffee time with Sheri and Tracy. Good for the soul, good coffee!

There was an interview for a producer job with the local cable company that didnt pan out and another one for a job that paid as little as Ive made since before trade school. Still nothing.
