Interesting to read about the flooding--of course it would have been a concern, but it never would have occurred to me to think about it. This really is a trip to remember, and I love your thorough documentation with all the details. We have a lot of mimes in NYC, too. I actually like them better than the gladiators at the Coliseum in Rome, who would get really aggressive about getting you to take their picture, and then make you pay for it!
