[journaling]All of a sudden we find ourselves noticing that Montanas turning into an old man. Its not that hes sickly or cranky, but hes sporting more grey. His bones are creaky, hes slow to get up and down. When hes near water Ken often times has to literally drag him out because he wont stop though hes obviously worn out. We cant offer as many treats, his diet and exercise are under closer watch. Its been a wake up call...hes family and the thought of him leaving us is so painful. My girls have never had another dog. Hes been the dog that every little kid deserves...patient, protective, loyal and very loving. He has been one of our familys greatest joys and Im thankful for every day we have together.
