1965 represents the year I trusted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior which broke the chains of sin and death. For Christians, the phrase "no more chains of death" signifies freedom from the ultimate sting of death and fear of eternal separation from God in hell fire through faith in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. It refers to the future hope of an eternal, heavenly existence with God, where death, suffering, and pain will no longer exist, as promised in the Bible. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is seen as the act that broke the power of death and sin, offering this freedom to believers.
The Christian Perspective on Death:
Jesus Christ, through his death and resurrection, conquered death and the power of sin. He broke the power of sin & death. His death on the cross didn’t just pay for my sins granting me a pardon, it purchased my freedom. The chains are gone. Sin holds no power in my life and those who have repented and accepted Christ personally as their Savior.
Because Christ defeated death, I no longer need to fear its ultimate power. Hebrews 2:14, 15 in the Bible says, “Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same (He became a man), that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” For those who have faith in Jesus, death is seen not as an end but as a transition, a doorway into the presence of Christ!
The resurrection of Jesus guarantees that those who belong to him will also be resurrected, escaping the grip of death forever. The ultimate hope for Christians is a future with God where there will be "no more death, neither mourning, nor crying, nor pain," as stated in Revelation 21:4, “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;.....

...there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Through Christ, believers can have eternal life, a shared existence with God in a perfected state (a new, immortal body) free from the sorrows of this life!
When people come to know Christ as their Savior, they are brought into a relationship with God that guarantees the unbreakable bonds we have with the Savior God. In the book of Jude and verse 24, the Bible declares, "To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy." God’s power keeps us from falling. It is up to Him, not us, to present us before His glorious presence. Those unbreakable bonds are a result of God keeping us, not us maintaining our own salvation. We have no power in our earthly flesh to do that!
The Lord Jesus Christ said, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand” John 10:28-29b. Both Jesus and the Father have us firmly grasped in their hand. You can’t be any more secure than that!
Ephesians 4:30 says we are "sealed for the day of redemption." John 3:15, 16 tells us that whoever believes in Jesus Christ will "have eternal life." If a person were to be promised eternal life, but then have it taken away, it was never "eternal" to begin with. If those unbreakable bonds are able to be broken, the promises of eternal life in the Bible would be in error. And God would be a liar and we couldn’t believe ANYTHING the Bible tells us!
Romans 8:38-39 says, ”For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Those unbreakable bonds are based on God’s love for those whom He has chosen. Our eternal security is purchased by Christ, promised by the Father, and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Key to Life! And He is our Anchor! Thank You, Jesus!
