This is wonderful, I love all of the white space. The chalk font wrapped around the corner of the photo is a fun touch, blackboards have sort of gone the way of the dinosaurs and library card catalogs. The border along the left edge is wonderful, I love all of the bits and bobs, and the ones in the opposite upper corner.

Love this blast from the past! Shh, we won't count how long ago our kiddos were that age. The first thing that jumped out at me was how serious he looks. Then the old-school metal lunch kit followed. I love all the fun bits and pieces and the chalkboard font is perfect around the corner of the photo. The owl perched up in the corner of the page encircled with the string fills that space so nicely. Those were the days:lovey3:

Oh, i love this and was going to say, well that's a blast from the past, but Kathy beat me to it! So sweet to see that grown up guy as a little one ready for school and so serious as he often was... I like how you used Jenn's papers and especially perched the owl on top of the frame. Great page!

Great photo, Diane! The years pass much too quickly, don't they?! So, you are originally from NJ until you slid southward, eh?! ;). Wonderful page! Love the paper-pieced bg you used! Looks totally schoolish!

@MariJ @vickyday Thanks so much! And Vicky, I grew up in NH but moved to NJ with my husband, and that's where we raised our kids, not far from Marilyn (MariJ) who knew them when, lol. We "slid southward" after retirement. I guess retiring to Florida is a cliche but, oh well. :giggle4:
