Mudlarking

Mudlarking is the act of searching the riverbed for historical treasures. Mudlarks comb the Thames foreshore, which is only accessible for a few hours a day at low tide, in their hunt for objects, untouched since they were lost hundreds or even thousands of years ago.

Supplies

ArtPlay Collection Hygge ** On sale**

I used

ArtPlay Palette Hygge

MultiLayered FotoBlendz No 7

Hygge WordART Mix No 1

Artsy Transfers Hygge

MultiMedia Hygge

Process

Using two solid papers blended together as a base I added the photograph.

The FotoBlendz was placed under the photo and clipped.

I then duplicated the photo twice and clipped them to some textures and stains.

I then brushed out some of the mask to extend the photo.

An Artsy Transfer was added along with brushes and transfers from the palette.

I created a cluster from elements from MM Hygge and the Hygge Palette.

Finally I added WordART and journaling.

Thanks for looking

Beautiful blending! That sounds like a cool activity-amazing history along the river!

I love your page and today it shows an exciting pass-time but it had a much darker history - it is so good those times are gone. Using a metal detector would be great fun. Your bridge highlights are great!

This is gorgeous!! I've always wanted to do mudlarking...I enjoy watching YouTube videos of people doing it! Congratulations! Your layout will be featured in tonight's Thursday Oscraps newsletter :heartpumplove:

So educational, makes me want to learn more.I like the blending and the perfect white space.

Gorgeous photo and blending and great journaling. I didn't know that was a thing. At first, I thought you were talking about birds, LOL. Love the tiny cluster too. And congrats on the feature!

Fascinating I think it is sort of like the guys on the beach with the metal detectors. Wonderful page.

Thanks so much, the mudlarks tend not to use metal detectors they go the old fashioned route by getting down on their knees!!
