Good morning, friends!
Can I just say that yesterday's weather here was *wild??* It snowed on and off the entire day. Nothing stuck other than some spots on the grass and on cars here, but local FB pages were pretty crazy, showing some of the roads just north of me.
Thankfully, my family didn't have any trouble traveling here and we had a wonderful time together for our bagels and birthday celebration. And yippeee! We all fit at the table LOL!
My next question is how we are going to fit everyone for Thanksgiving... I definitely need at least one more table. I wish I could remember how I set it up last year. We are going to have 12-14 adults and two little ones. (That I know of. Things always change rapidly here)
By the time everyone left and I cleaned up, it was time for the retreat meeting. Aside from being distracted at how utterly old and tired I look on camera
, I think we have the day sketched out as best as it can be. Lots of areas that can and will change on the actual day - weather being the biggest variable- but it is all good. Right?? Right. *fingers crossed*
Meanwhile, my family and its kooky health problems are always, shall we say "interesting" as a nice, neutral word. My mom had an appointment with her hematologist before she came to my house and she is starting iron infusions soon. The injections are not doing enough to make a difference. Caitlyn starts her iron infusions today. Then Sam tells us that Sott has been having chest pains for a while and had a doctor's appointment last night. He is like my parents and didn't say a word to us, even though he was thinking about calling an ambulance on Saturday, they were so bad. *bangs head on desk*
Thank goodness, it wasn;t his heart but apparently he also has scoliosis. The spine and hips are out of whack, making his ribs hurt. Well, I am glad it isn't his heart (he was born with two heart defects, so always a worry for me) but now I feel bad that I "gave" both kids scoliosis.
Hooo boy! It is always something
I am cleaning for my friend this morning and then I would *love* to scrap this afternoon. I might end up working some more on my retreat programs... I am an awful public speaker. Even though I know what I am talking about, I struggle to get it out clearly. Or I forget stuff. (It is also completely possible I am just very hard on myself and expect perfection from myself. *shrugs* Could be...
)
I should sign off soon. I have to do yoga this morning before I go to work. If I don't, I'll tell myself I'll do it "later" and later never comes.
Hugs to you all!

But it may get up into the high 50's late this afternoon. No snow or rain in the forecast for this week. I was looking back at photos from this time last year... and we were covered with a big snow.
But I would've been nervous about someone leaning on the end and flipping it, too. Although that would make for a pretty funny family tale for the future. Definitely *not* funny in the moment.
I'm going to see if tonight looks to be a good possibility, and if so will drive up the mountain to Shenandoah National Park (it's only 12 miles) and try. First I'll have to buy gas because my car is nagging me that it only has 20 miles left in the gas tank. I hate buying gas -- decades with NJ's can't-pump-your-own rule has spoiled me.
