Happy Valentine's Day (to all who celebrate :lovey3:)!
That doesn't include me, I am the cranky-pants who dislikes Hallmark Holidays. But I can and will tell the people I adore that I love them. And that means all of you. ♥

Guess what?? I scrapped yesterday!!! It was a page for the 52 Inspirations challenge and I used a cluster frame so it sort of scrapped itself. But perhaps the worst of the scrap drought and lost mojo is over. *fingers crossed*
I think that was the only thing I did of any merit yesterday. I also wasted time, did some desk work, wasted more time, and then cooked dinner.
Oh yeah, one thing I did was more research on Eco-Anxiety and teaching strategies. I started a Doc that I shared with Weis's director and the FT staff. I think it might be helpful to them as well as for me since I want to incorporate that in my lessons. That led me down a bit of a rabbit hole with regard to the JW field trips because we are careful to not step on any religious toes, so to speak. One of the coping strategies is connecting to nature with meditation but some religions consider that taboo.

My mom is coming here to visit and take me to lunch today. She wants to go somewhere "nice" but I can't think of many nice places here. We have a diner and a bunch of pizzerias but not much is open for lunch. Other than that, not much else is happening.

Hope all of you are surrounded by love today! And if you can't be with the one you love, honey, Love the one you're with. :D

xoxo

Chris, I didn't go anywhere after all. DD#3 called and came down for an afternoon visit. First time she has called or been down since she got back from helping DD#1. DD#3 is taking real estate classes on-line so is very busy 3 evenings a week plus studying for them.
Well if you ask me (and I know ya didn't but when has that stopped me LOL), that is a *much* better way to spend your day. You must have missed DD#3 very much, and if she is like me, she missed you too.
Finally got up at 2:30 AM
You crazy lady!! :rotfl:
But I get it when something is bugging your brain like that. Glad you were able to find what you were looking for.

Last night my back started to hurt-muscle spasms so I guess the twisting and reaching up to get the top of the trailer was not good. Heating pad did relieve it some so I will try to finish it today. I need to do a few things inside then it can go back to storage.
I'm not surprised you were hurting and I hope that you took it easy as you worked on the inside. How long are expecting to go to PT? It is a PITB but it does help. Hang in there!
Was Bunco fun? There is a team in my town that I always see posting pics on FB and those ladies look like they have a blast. Costumes and everything!

@vickyday We need the head-desk emoji so I can show you I am in sympathy over the car issues. What a mess, how long has it been? Months? It feels like forever to me, I cannot imagine how it is for you.
Hehehe that you googled White Whale. I had looked for a Moby Dick gif to share but nothing good/self-explanatory popped up.
I had a tree stump that was my white whale. I wanted it out of the driveway and spent hours and hours and hours chipping away at it. Then we got the driveway paved and poof! it was gone. LOL
I hope you rested your back yesterday and it is better today.
Good morning ladies. I had a busy day yesterday...morning walk with the ladies around the indoor track in the morning, then coffee with them, then over to the center for canasta for the afternoon, got groceries and then came home to make grilled cheese/tomato soup for dinner and play with Remi. She hates my Wednesdays b/c I'm gone for such a long part of the day. Then we were back out after dinner, back to the centre for a friend's birthday (we all brought desserts) and a few hours of cribbage. Finally got home at 9:30.
I am exhausted just reading that! I can imagine all of the expressions on Remi's face as she watches you come and go :D
That's scary about the side effects Jen was getting from the meds, I hope the new one is a better match for her.
I completed the birthday card for Aunt Betty and made a gift box to put it in here are photos of the finished project.
That is beautiful absolutely beautiful!!
That's so neat about the heated mattress pad. I go the Little House on a Prairie route when it is cold. I put my microwave heat pack under the covers before I get in. They used rocks or potatoes or something like that the fire, IIRC.
I did have a nice visit with my sister and we had some laughs and a couple of tears remembering our brother. Gosh I miss him so very much :sad2:. I talked with my SIL Veronica and wished her a safe trip home,
((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))

My silly dishwasher story happened the same day as my throwing out the moisturizer/losing a bag of groceries. I started to empty the dishwasher, got distracted, and must have only emptied the plate and mug racks. The silverware rack is on top and out of sight. When I went to set the table yesterday, there dishwasher was 99% empty but no clean silverware. There were the clean utensils mixed in with the dirty ones. Pfft. Silly brain...

How to get 8 inches of snow melted in 8 hours -- live in Virginia. It's sunny and warm and the gutters are spewing water. The lawn is bare of snow most places.
It must be a muddy, soggy mess but at least the snow it gone! Whew!
I caught up on a bunch of web page updates that were needed this morning, then fought with technology for the couple hours after lunch. Hoping everything is set and working for now. It's leftovers for dinner, so no cooking. At 5:00 I'll just grab a glass of wine and my book and put my feet up.
Sounds like the end of the day was much needed!
I've had similar days with my computer and can't even relax with a glass of wine while I am taking Tindamax. One more reason eot despise that Rx
Woo hoo for Grandparents Summer Camp!! Who enjoys it more, the grandparents or the grandkids?
Thx for the recipe review! Your DH sounds like mine, although he would have probably skipped the greens altogether.

Popping in again today to say hello. Feeling about as "normal" as I can feel. FINALLY. It's been a long road but I THINK I'm about at the end of it - I'm knocking on wood as I say this. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I had NO idea the second shingles vax would be as brutal as it was. I know that it's still better than having the shingles. My main problem is that I lost ALL creativity and when I finally started trying to do anything scrapping wise, I felt like I was starting over.
whew, soooo happy that you are finally turning the corner. Finally! Your creativity will be back in no time!

Time to get in the shower and put makeup on so my mom doesn't see that I look "tired." hehe. She is in denial that I am old.

xoxo

That song has always been one of my favorites, thank you very much! ;). Love the one you're with! And a Happy Valentine's Day to you, too, Faery Girl! :hug4:
Hope you have a great time with your mom!

Yes, it has been MONTHS with the silly car! I hope the mechanic is learning some very valuable lessons! The value being in direct proportion to what the final bill is going to be, LOL!
I'm surprised that old tree trunk hasn't rooted itself back up through your driveway, honestly! I hope it doesn't ever do that! How long has it been paved over?
Yes, the back is better today after relaxing in my recliner most of the day yesterday. Thanks!

Good Morning!
Mark is going to take me out to eat for Valentine's Day at some point today. I told him my stomach couldn't handle breakfast out. So we will either do lunch or supper out. Maybe a late lunch that will mean I don't have to cook supper! ;). We do have leftover veggie soup from the church dinner that we can eat later today or for a light lunch. My stomach just growled, so maybe I'll get dressed and we can do lunch out and then eat the soup for dinner. Not sure I want to be out tonight with all of the crowds it being Friday AND Valentine's Day! I'm sure the restaurants are going to be packed!

No plans today. Maybe some more scrapping. Mark is in the woods at the moment. It is COLD! The birdbath is frozen this morning. But he has a nice fire built.

HAGD!

Morning ladies and Happy Valentine's Day to you all! DH and I do not celebrate this Hallmark Day, I know he loves me and I know he knows that I love him too!! I am still trying to get my mojo back and get a layout completed, perhaps I will look at the 52 Inspirations Challenge today, it seemed to have helped @faerywings find her mojo again! This afternoon I am meeting an old school friend for coffee downtown, we went all through elementary school and high school together. It will be good to catch up with her. Then SIL Linda wants to know if I will come and help her take a leaf out of her dining room table. So in other words she will watch me take the leaf out and tell me where I should put it :giggle4: . The woman has absolutely no upper body strength! It is a beautiful sunny day here, but still very chilly, hopefully the last cold day as rain is in the forecast for the weekend and more normal temps. It will be a long weekend for us, Family Day is on Monday and it is a Holiday. Not much planned for it, just the usual running around and grocery shopping. I hope to get some paint to touch up the kitchen cupboards and I also want to paint the vanity in the on-suite bathroom to white and get some new pulls for the drawers/cupboards. Hope that my Gary will give me a hand with all of that and keep him busy and out of his recliner.

Hooray for finding your mojo again! I will have to go and check out your page! I am hoping that doing that challenge will help me out too! I had the same kind of day yesterday, wasted a lot of time in between doing little things around the house. Thank you so much for the nice compliment on my card! :lovey3:
My mom is coming here to visit and take me to lunch today. She wants to go somewhere "nice" but I can't think of many nice places here. We have a diner and a bunch of pizzerias but not much is open for lunch. Other than that, not much else is happening.
Have a lovely lunch with your Mom, hope you find a nice place to go that isn't too crowded!
My stomach just growled, so maybe I'll get dressed and we can do lunch out and then eat the soup for dinner. Not sure I want to be out tonight with all of the crowds it being Friday AND Valentine's Day! I'm sure the restaurants are going to be packed!
That is what I am afraid of going out for coffee this afternoon, that I will never get a parking spot or a seat in the place we are going to because it is Valentine's Day! DH and I will stay home and have supper its much quieter here LOL.

I know that my DD will be calling very soon, so I will get the bed made and get into the :showering:before she does. Have a lovely :friday:

Another sunny day, it will be in the 40s so I expect all the snow will be gone except where there are piles at the ends of parking lots.

I'm glad to see we're not the only ones who don't do Valentines Day much. I got a "Happy Valentines Day" with my good morning kiss. And I know he looked at the credit card because he said "You're getting a carpet for your mom for Valentines Day" :D
BUT!! Mom got an offer -- finally -- on her condo, so it looks like I'll get the money back from the carpet which we won't have to do. Isn't that the way? As soon as we gave up, knowing that whoever buys it will want to put tile in, but we decide we have to put in new carpet just to make it look better, then an offer comes in. Well, anyway, my sister and the agent are negotiating, so here's hoping it works out and we can get that behind us.

I finished scrapping the pages from our bike ride across Florida. I had so many photos it was mostly pick some, edit them a bit, clip them into a template, put in background paper, and done. I always say I'm going to journal each day we're traveling so I can remember what to write about but I almost never do. I kinda feel I want to add some elements but there's no space. I can't afford to do two pictures on each page with a bunch of decorative stuff if I want to print them in my book (which I do). Oh well, I just got a cute photo of the 7yo GD at that classic moment of missing both front teeth which deserves a page of its own with embellishments!

No big plans for the weekend, will be rainy so no biking yet. Maybe I can entice some friends to winery with a fireplace for a couple hours in the afternoon. We'll see!

Happy Valentines Day to all of you.
We are going to the Valentine's Dance at the club tonight. It's pot luck so I am making an appetizer of black& green olives with cheese on english muffins that are baked then cut into triangles.

Yesterday I got a haircut then went to PT- 2 more times, it is helping so much but I am tired of going.
Last night was bunko. There were 27 of us. Everyone brings food so we eat then play....well usually we do. Last night one of our widowed ladies stumbled on a stair we called for ambulance. Turns out she fractured her knee cap. She has to keep her leg straight and no weight at all. She is Canadian so cannot stay her over 6 month and was going back tomorrow...They are trying to a get waiver. It's a big mess.

This morning I had my annual mammogram..so much fun. Then I finished cleaning the outside of the trailer.

@faerywings Enjoy your time with your Mom...I wish I could. You are always so busy so it will be nice to relax with her. And glad you got to scrap too.

@Terri M I hope that is the last of your snow so the local vineyards don't have damage to their vines.

Good morning ladies. We say HVD but don't do anything special other than maybe a small treat like the one I'm getting for both of us later this afternoon. We have a hot chocolate festival going on and many businesses create their own signature hot chocolate to sell and the proceeds go to charity. I am going to pop into one store later and get their Bourbon Buster Hot Chocolate. It's hot choc with homemade bourbon caramel sauce and a huge stir stick with marshmallows, caramel, milk, dark & white choc and Skor bits. Not calorie friendly at all but I don't care, I have to try it! They have it in take-out form to make at home so I'll get 4 (two for friends for game day).

We're heading off to Mexican Train in a few min. I took Remi out for her walk earlier and she loved the additional snowfall and slight wind, me not so much. I'm looking forward to the end of next wk when the temps warm up quite a bit.

Found a new show to watch tonight - Territory (Australian version of Yellowstone).

I will pop into the local artisan store tomorrow and ask about possibly having a small vendor area for my jewelry in the late spring, before the summer tourist time starts. It's really cheap and they do all the work of selling with a 25% commission. A friend sells there and she said the owner is wonderful and they offer display pieces, marketing tips, etc, all to make it as friendly and easy as possible. It's a month-to-month lease so at any time I can leave if I find I don't want to do it anymore. Sounds perfect for me. I never want to make it a big business but selling a bit would be great, to fund my future purchases.

There's been a lot of talk about AI images lately so I finally went onto midjourney and checked it out. I bought the lowest pricing and it is worth it b/c it's like a game for me, typing in words/phrases and seeing what comes up. I will keep LOs with the AI images in a separate folder so that if I ever print the LOs out, I would like to keep them separate from LOs with my own photos. Just what I need, another obsession LOL. It never ends :)

@faerywings Enjoy the lunch, wherever you end up with your mom.
@taxed4ever Enjoy meeting up with your friend this afternoon.
@BoatLady So sorry to hear of your friend's fall. I hope she gets a waiver to stay until it is safe for her to travel back home.

We are leaving in a few minutes. Need to get off the computer. HAGD everyone.

Wow. . . . what a busy day. Out and running from 9 AM until 12:30 PM. Went over to get my blood work done for my Dr's appointment on March 5th. Went to the lab about 1 1/2 miles north of here... Well.... they had not received the lab test orders. So went from there over to the hospital 4 miles away (south of there) and checked with the Doctor's staff... Turns out the orders for the tests were in the future orders (in other words had not been sent to the lab yet). Gal at check-in desk said she would let the Dr's nurse know I would like to get them done ASAP. So - back in car to drive north) to the library (back 3 1/2 miles near where I had been). Got the call just as I was walking into the library that the lab test request had been sent to the lab. Dropped off my books...and to the Senior Citizen Center to drop off books. then over to the bank and grocery store for a couple of items. Then back to the lab (only 1/2 mile north from the bank) to have the blood work done. Then 1/2 mile north over to the Used Book/DVD store to discover that they were having a buy 1 DVD/get one free sale.... and the regular price is $1 for single DVDs and $2 for TV Seasons DVDs. Let's just say I was glad I have my Friends of Library big bag with me as it was FULL. 14 DVDs and 4 Seasons DVDs. LOL

Finally got some food (I was fasting for the blood work) for lunch when I got home. I always carry bottles of water in the car so I did stay hydrated. It was cold/windy and it has been trying to rain since I got home.

Oh, I forgot to say, that yesterday afternoon, I managed to get all the tax paperwork info gathered up and copied... Only missing one statement from an investment... Talked to the Tax preparer's office and asked if I can bring the package in early next week along with a note about which one I am missing - then send the one I am missing to them once it arrives. This is the same company that was late getting the forms out last year...

Now I am going to relax in the massager/recliner and read. I have a headache so also going to take some pain meds...

The restaurant we went to doesn't open until 11. We try to make sure we are some of the first to arrive, LOL, before they get busy for lunch! We were the first ones there!

WOW! Back and forth for you today! Hope your headache goes away after the meds and massager/recliner.

Happy Valentines Day to everyone. We don't usually do more than Happy Valentines Day and kiss, but this year Mark got some cards and candy for me. I work a half day on Friday so we went to lunch, then we went to an ice cream place I've been wanting to try. Then we went to Nothing Bundt Cakes and got a couple cupcakes. One for Belle, and one for the lady who showered my mom. I took it to the nursing home where she works and surprised her. The surprise made both our days. It was fun. Then on the way home we HAD to stop and get half and half for morning....no half and half for coffee on a Saturday morning when we aren't going anywhere? Yes, stopping for half and half was a m.u.s.t., and I found a Valentines Balloon for Belle there which was also a must have.
Now we're home, happy to be, and settling in for a quiet evening. Belle is babysitting for her cousin so we have a quiet night in.
In the last week I have had two 12 hour work days, so I'm happy to be home.

Erinn is stable at the moment. She is undergoing more testing over the next couple of weeks. By the end of the month, she should have a diagnosis and treatment plan. In the meantime they have released some of her restrictions. She doesn't need 24 hour supervision, she can drive short distances, and she needs to not do anything strenuous without a spotter. She has an apple watch and needs to keep her HR beneath a designated level. If she goes over that she has to stop and rest. She has a doctor who is very attentitive and she is in good hands. They also took her off all her medicine except for the heart medicine. There is improvement, and that's a blessing. We'll know more at the end of the month.

A few days ago we had 3.5 inches of rain, and now they're saying snow by next Wednesday. Crazy weather.
@Cherylndesigns I'm glad to hear you're starting to feel better! I've been thinking of you alot these past couple of weeks.
@taxed4ever @faerywings I'll join you in the 52 inspiration Challenge to get some mojo going. Two weeks into the month and I've done exactly ONE layout. I'm going to check out the gallery and leave some love, will probably not scrap anything tonight.
@BrightEyes your recliner sounds fabulous! Hope you get to get into it and stay there a while!

@faerywings
@MariJ Did you get any more snow last night? We're supposed to get more on Saturday. *ggggggrrrrrrr* How about you?

We did get some through the night, but it was rain by morning, whew. This next one doesn't sound as good though.
Stay safe and warm!
