Vellum
Were you a paper scrapper before you discovered digi scrapping? Remember paper vellum that lovely translucent paper , often used for wedding invites.
You can now make your own with just a few clicks of the buttons. Open a new page and drag out a square with your rectangular marqeee tool, fill it with an off white colour.
Change the opacity settings to about 65%
See how nicely the background layer shows through it. I have used a paper from the new Comfort kit which you can get for free if you do the Scavenger Hunt at the forum. The Hunt is only on for a limited time though so haste ye to the forum.
I think this vellum does make a nice frame and it may even help me to use bolder backgrounds more often.May be you can think of other ways to use it too.
Digi vellum is sooooo versatile!!! I sometimes create a layer of vellum and journal on top of it, especially if there’s something underneath it (i.e. patterned paper or photo) I still want people to be able to see.
Thanks for the reminder to use vellum…such a versatile digi-item!
I love this technique , especially for write a title or journaling
